subject:A further dust complaint- CLEANAWAY NEW CHUM
Hi Folks

I wish to lodge a further dust complaint for today, 31st Jan 2018.

This morning I again visited the site and saw serious dust clouds being generated on site.

NO WATER TRUCKS WERE OBSERVED IN OPERATION AROUND THE TIPPING AREAS

It is unclear what this amount of dust has affect to the health and well being of on site staff and visiting truck drivers, separate to that of local residents.

Although it appears that DEHP (DES) officers attend the site, the site continues to operate generating significant dust that is not contained on site.

In the case of the tip face where trucks dump loads, the tipping face where graders and compactors work and in today's case to the left in photos soil is being placed on trucks, THERE IS NO dust control measures being practiced AT ALL.

Despite numerous complaints it appears that no improvement in control measure are implemented at all, let alone on a regular basis.

For Ipswich Councillors, ICC cannot keep on pointing the finger at DEHP when it is ICC that approves these operations. The ICC Swanbank master plan has plenty of requirements that could be used to better control the operation.
It could be easily inferred that as the company is not complying with its ERA licence conditions it is breach of the ICC approval which includes compliance with the ERA.
